Once an artist always an artist...

I'm sure you might have gained some clarity about me by now, but to give you a more sense here's a blog that describes my evolution as an artist. Hope you like it, because I like my journey a lot!

School Dancer

My journey as a performer began at the tender age of six, making my debut on a modest stage for a school event. Though the details of that early performance remain somewhat hazy, the memory is etched fondly in my heart. While I can't precisely recall my feelings post-performance, I can safely assume that the experience was enjoyable. From that point forward, stepping onto the stage became an intrinsic part of my identity. Throughout my school years until graduation, I wore various artistic hats—singer, theatre artist, mimic, speaker, and dancer, to name a few.

A significant portion of my school life was dedicated to Indian Classical dance, where I explored various folk dance forms of India. A notable achievement came during my high school graduation when I was honored with the "Best Dancer of the Year" award. As the first male recipient, this recognition was particularly significant, given the scarcity of male dancers in the realm of Indian Classical dance. Dancing, for me, goes beyond past accolades; it serves as a medium for self-expression and reflection of the emotions that resonate within. Beyond the spotlight, dancing has instilled emotional intelligence, patience, punctuality, and observational skills—essential traits for excelling in any art form.

Furniture Designer

Post high school, my artistic journey underwent a transformation from a dancer to a designer as I pursued my undergraduate studies in Industrial Design. The world of Furniture Design captivated my imagination, drawing me into projects that centered around this discipline. This fascination stemmed from the ability of furniture design to address user needs and problems within specific spatial setups. The skills cultivated in this field extended to various domains of Industrial Design, including packaging design, exhibition design, app design, toy design, and service design.

The journey was transformative, not only professionally but also in reshaping my mindset and approach to life. Beyond mere empathy for solutions, personal involvement at every project stage taught me how to empathize with the process and multiple stakeholders involved. A valuable lesson learned during this time was the importance of documenting the design process. This practice facilitated learning from both failures and successes, fostering reflection and validation.

Communication Designer

While documenting design processes during my undergraduate program, my interest pivoted toward becoming a communicator. I began to explore designing for publication, creating hard-cover books as documentation for each project. By the end of my four-year undergraduate program, I had compiled over 30 books, gaining invaluable insights into Visual Communication Design. The projects I published on Behance gained attention, leading to requests for designing brand identities and logos. Even before I fully grasped it and upon completing my degree, I had already ventured into freelancing, where I focused on crafting brand identities, corporate image, marketing content, and visuals for interior spaces.

Embarking on freelance work as a communication designer broadened my understanding of the corporate world. It equipped me with skills such as client relationship building, problem-solving, and facilitation.

It was even before i realized and soon i graduated, that i had started working as a freelancer designing for brand identities, corporate identity, marketing content and interior based visuals.

User Experience Enthusiast

My experiences as a communication designer sparked an enthusiasm for user-centric design. The satisfaction derived from empathizing with users, incorporating their needs seamlessly, and simplifying their experiences led me to pursue a graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction. My goal in practicing user experience design professionally is to optimize user experiences with maximum empathy and minimal friction. The intersection of my curiosity as a communication designer and the evolving trend of user experience design has guided my journey toward creating meaningful and seamless interactions for users.
